A group from St John’s congregation met up with Bishop Anne and church members from across the diocese last weekend for a diocesan get-together by the sea. We took advantage of the amazing weather to walk from the beach at Cruden Bay up to Slain’s Castle where we enjoyed the sunshine, admired the castle ruins and relaxed by the sea.

In the evening we gathered at St James the Less Church in Cruden Bay where we learned about the history of the church and it’s impressive 1000 year old font. We finished the day saying evening prayer together led for us by Revd Dennis Berk.

A good time was had by all and we are really looking forward to the next get-together which will be on the 16th July in Old Aberdeen. Details to follow shortly on our Facebook page.
