Dear All
I hope you are keeping well and occupied, this week has had tough moments but being able to sit outside for morning coffee in the sun (on some days) has helped. Apologies for the many attachments but these are an attempt to enable all of us to walk through Holy Week and the Triduum to Easter Sunday whilst together but apart. This email and my Easter pastoral letter explain all so I would start there.
This email is going to have several attachments as we prepare to walk through Holy Week together, my letter of explanation is attached. There will be one in the next few days with liturgies for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Eve. As ever please feel free to pass these onto any friends or family who you think may find them useful. This week’s pewspape and Diocesan newsletter are attached. The Bishop has issued a video for Holy Week which can be viewed at

We’ll be meeting at 9.30am on Sunday morning for Morning Prayer via Zoom
https://us04web.zoom.us/j/386348852
followed by virtual coffee time. The service itself will be on Facebook Live (but not the coffee chat). If you would like to volunteer to read a Psalm or Epistle over the next few weeks please be in touch. The liturgy can also be found at
At 11am Broadcast Sunday Worship is being led by the Rt Rev Andrew Swift, Bishop of Brechin (https://www.scotland.anglican.org/bishop-andrew-leads-palm-sunday-online-worship/) available on YouTube and Facebook video platforms as well. There is also the St John’s Service of the Word (with seasonal variations found towards the back).
At 7pm you’re invited to light a candle and place it in your window to pray for the current Coronavirus situation.
This Sunday you’re invited to attach a green branch to your day to show you’re celebrating Palm Sunday (or put one in your window). If you want to make your own palm cross a video is available
This Holy Week we’re inviting everyone at St John’s to make an Easter Garden (explanation attached) and create a Holy Space in your home and to share pictures of Easter Gardens on Easter Sunday (please send to me via email).
During Holy Week you’re invited to say Morning Prayer at 8.30am each day (liturgy attached) and join Compline at 8pm (Mon-Wed). The latter will be available on Zoom (https://us04web.zoom.us/j/573339516) and will be streamed on Facebook (link below my email signature). This liturgy is taken from the Prayer Book and is attached. I’ll be posting short reflections on the day’s Gospel at noon on Facebook (and will provide shorter written versions via email).
Take Care and may God Bless you and keep you and all those who you love
Jenny
